I majored in chemistry and became a chemistry teacher later on. I love teaching students chemistry to show them that it isn’t always that complicated.
I always encourage students to speak up, ask questions, and be an active part of the learning process. I consistently learn with students — I try to find new ways for them to understand chemistry, and I want them to feel welcome in my classroom.

I decided to study foreign languages and at the same time I used to work at schools and with different European projects.
I have more than 20 years of experience in education. I studied at University of Latvia, Liepaja Pedagogical Academy, Uni of Daugavpils and Universitē Sorbonne Paris VIII. I have got Master degree in Philology.
Smiltene
I have always loved languages, but being a teacher hasn’t been in my plans – so of course I became a teacher. And have been one in Valmiera Technical School for 15 years.
I like working with students , it is not easy but it is so rewarding.
Smiltene
My dream was to become a prosecutor. And I even became an applicant to the Kharkov Law University, but my dad decided that I should be a teacher and took my documents to the Kherson State University at the Faculty of Foreign Languages. So I became a teacher and have never regretted it.
My example proves that sometimes parents know us better than we know ourselves. I really do love my job and my students always help me to be better than I am.
