A week full of art and culture in Paris
Artemisia have spent a week creating their itinerary with the group involved in the project. That week, days were split in half: In the morning they would be in a classroom and studying whereas in the afternoon, they would take what they had learned to a practical level, by going to museums or walking in the streets of Paris to look at all sorts of arts.
On the first day they studied photography in the morning (how to take pictures, what are the techniques to take a picture) and then applied what they had learned in the Louvre Museum where they had to take pictures of what they saw, and find signs, shapes that were related to what they saw during the morning.
The next morning, they would share their thoughts on the previous day and analyze the pictures taken, to see which ones to add to the itinerary.
During the afternoon of the second day, they went to the Quai Branly Museum. The objective was to find symbols, signs and shapes related to different cultures.
On the third day, the group walked around the streets of the 7th and 8th arrondissement in Paris to look at and analyze art nouveau buildings.
On the last day, they went to the Château de Versailles, and once again, the objective was to find particular shapes and symbols. After spending a week studying and analyzing different kind of arts, they were able to distinguish different art techniques and styles.
