A week of exploration and learning
On arrival, the Latvian students were greeted by their French counterparts and kicked off their stay with a visit to the Artemisia School of Painting and the Opéra Garnier. An ice-breaking activity facilitated initial contacts, enabling participants to quickly feel at ease in this new environment.
The following days were punctuated by workshops in painting and decorative techniques, led by experienced instructors. The students were able to experiment with different finishes and learn traditional skills, an aspect that was particularly appreciated despite the language barrier.
“I liked the creative workshops and the kindness of the instructors. Even though we didn’t speak the same language, we found ways of understanding each other,”
says Katya, one of the Latvian participants.

A week of exploration and learning
The exchange was not limited to the workshops. The students also explored the architectural treasures of Paris: the Petit Palais, the Musée d’Orsay, the Champ de Mars and the Jardin du Luxembourg. Throughout these visits, questionnaires were offered to awaken their eye for ornament and decorative detail, reinforcing the educational aspect of the trip.
“It wasn’t just tourism, but a real immersion in art and history”, confided one student.

Fencing at Versailles: an unforgettable experience
Closure at Versailles: an unforgettable experience To conclude the week, participants visited the Château de Versailles, a highlight that left a lasting impression.
“I can’t believe I was in Paris. This experience will remain engraved in my memory”, enthuses one student.
At the CCC-Erasmus seminar, this exchange was highlighted as a successful example of educational and cultural mobility. Speakers emphasized its impact on young people’s integration into the world of work, not only by enhancing their practical and artistic skills, but also by boosting their self-confidence and their openness to the world.
